1. Does iTest make sense for business-to-business firms, too?

Absolutely. In fact, it's not an exaggeration to say that iTest has revolutionized the way that business-to-business firms get feedback from their customers. Copy tests and brand tracking measure that were once gathered via expensive, time-consuming personal or telephone interviews can now be conducted via the web, saving weeks and thousands of dollars. In fact, an iTest survey we recently conducted for a client was $60,000 less expensive and resulted in a sample size that was several times larger than a competitive quote that proposed using telephone interviews for the same purpose

2. Can you conduct iTest Assessments in other countries?

Currently, we can conduct iTest research only in countries where large lists of email addresses are readily available. These countries typically include the USA, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and South Africa. For an additional charge, we can also translate surveys into appropriate local languages using translators familiar with local research customs and idiomatic expressions.

3. Where do your samples come from?

We obtain our consumer samples from a variety of respected national and international survey panels and we gather our business-to-business samples from publicly available lists, trade magazines, and trade associations. Depending on the situation and client objectives, we sometimes also sample from our clients' customer and prospect lists.

4. Are iTest questionnaires standardized or customized for the task at hand?

Each iTest questionnaire contains both standardized and customized questions. We standardize diagnostic questions that have been shown to have a high probability of predicting sales effectiveness, but we customize other questions to meet client information needs. For example, all iTest questionnaires contain image association and customer profiling questions that are customized for the task at hand. In addition, we always offer clients the opportunity to add their own questions to iTest surveys.

5. Can iTest questionnaires be modified to tackle additional objectives?

Yes, as long as the additional questions don't make the questionnaire too lengthy or conflict with proprietary iTest evaluation methodologies. In many cases, for example, clients prefer to make iTest questionnaires do double-duty by adding brand tracking measures. We can accommodate this.

6. Do I get a chance to approve questionnaires before they're fielded?

Absolutely. In fact, clients get a chance to approve each iTest questionnaire twice. We ask clients to approve draft surveys before and after programming. This minimizes expensive programming time and, for all practical purposes, eliminates client/supplier misunderstandings.

7. What if the communication materials I want to test are highly confidential?

In such cases, we can host your survey on a secure server that prevents all downloading, forwarding, or copying of test properties. This involves a slight extra charge.

8. Can't I do my own web-based ad testing?

You can, but keep in mind that iTest methodologies and questionnaires have been validated to provide a high probability of predicting the sales effectiveness of creative executions, whereas your own approach may not be as predictive. In addition, we're better equipped than most firms to efficiently field and analyze communications testing results. Finally, we're able to compare your results to the results of other clients and provide you with a better idea of how your communications are doing from a macro perspective.
